What happened was that she wanted to have a big collab stream where viewers submitted scary stories and they would be read while everyone was sat in a circle or whatever. Except nobody came, not even those who had said they'd be there, so she started reading alone. Then Luca saw the opportunity and in classic Luca fashion joined and ended up making half the stream about himself, flying around, using the weird Pomu/Luca hybrid chibi, and generally making it impossible for her to do what the stream was ostensibly about. Eventually others joined but by that time the stream had fully derailed into going to other worlds.
The obvious aftermath was massive criticism in the comments and elsewhere, mainly directed at Luca, to a lesser extent to the others who stood her up, and in some part to Pomu herself for not "moderating" the stream properly. Some hours later she turned off comments.
Next stream she addressed this criticism by saying that she actually had fun with the stream and (basically) that Luca was her friend and if you didn't like that you could fuck off. But since she actually felt bad that basically none of the stories got read and since she was doing a handcam anyways she read some of them there.
The two rarely collabed after that because Pomu has always been deathly afraid of people leaving her and Luca got enough pushback.It didn't alienate most of chat because most of chat wasn't retarded and both parties understood it as "filtering the wheat from the chaff." The bond between her and chat, already strong, would be strengthened immensely later on, as bullshit upon bullshit rained on her in 2023 and many fans chose to leave. Which is a bit hypocritical, considering her personal beliefs on the matter, but I guess it's easier to say so in hindsight and from our perspective.
