>>80684072They had lots of momentum but why did it stop? Because they stopped their momentum awhile by choice. They moved to Japan suddenly and went from February 24th to April 12th without a consistent stream schedule. After that, they wrapped themselves in more "homework" (hololive non-stream activities) with their newfound JP aligned timezone which lessened their streams. Mococo had a throat issue which made them take a break off for a week after Taipei. Furthermore, they started focusing on IRL events. Taipei, AX, JP Expo, SMASH, which took more of their time away for streaming. They also are focusing on 3D, taking even more stream time away. They had a week without streams on their channel this week along similar to one some weeks ago.
So, what happened? They went from full momentum to a break, and they got busy. Less streams. More breaks. Less people subbing. Possibly more unsubbing.
If they kept the status quo - not moving to Japan, not trying to focus on so many IRL events, taking care of their health more instead of piling on homework after homework, I honestly believe they would have hit it. They didn't do necessarily anything wrong, but in terms of their 1 mil goal they killed it on their own.
