>>8089590You come to, naked in that chair. It's been like this for weeks. You wake up for a few hours and she puts you back under. Kana, your dear love, has snapped. She's completely unstable. You don't know how long you can last. Your heart feels so withered, and your body is so, so tired. You're no longer bound but you're so weak that it doesn't matter. She feeds you mouth to mouth, gives you water, but it isn't enough. You feel something at your wrist, a dull pain. Not that your entire being doesn't hurt all the time, it does, but this is new. You struggle to open your eyes, but the lids are as heavy as boat anchors. Slowly, you force them open.
You make out an indistinct form near you. You hear an ethereal, warbling chittering, pausing when your pain reaches a crescendo. What is happening? You shake your head, trying to clear the fog. There's something biting you, lapping you. You try to move your arm but can't, you're so weak. The thing emits a deafening shriek, and your instincts detect a warning in that shrill, otherworldly rasp. You begin to focus.
The thing moves unnaturally as it returns to your wrist, an after image following it as if it only partially manifests in this world at any given moment. Its features are indistinct, shifting, but you catch glimpses of its nature as it stops to feed. Two ragged, sickeningly white fox-like ears, twitching, the color of corpse flesh. It looks up at you, chittering between thin, wide lips, smeared with your blood. Tiny, fiery orbs dance within the dark voids of its eye sockets, weeping grotesque fluids down pale cheeks. It quickly returns to your arm, lapping at an open wound.
You scream. It takes everything in you, but you scream in terror, your voice echoing off the cold bathroom walls. It pays you no mind and continues to gorge itself on your blood. It's anaK. anaK is here, its matted, ghostly tail waving in stop motion behind it. You struggle, but it clings to your flesh like a lamprey. You start to sob, tears streaming down your cheeks. You just can't endure this anymore. How did it turn out like this?
Without warning the door opens. In walks Kamiko Kana, radiant, beautiful. As beautiful to you as the day you met her. Her long, comfortable sweater hangs off her slender shoulder. You feel new tears starting in your weary eyes. anaK's ears perk up at Kana's arrival and it lets you go. It phase-shifts away from you until it's perching on the vanity, watching, glossy black claws gripping into the splintering wood.
"Hello, Gordon," Kana says quietly, glancing at anaK as she passes the cosmic thing swaying back and forth eagerly on her vanity. She brandishes a 10" chef's knife in her right hand, gripping it as she approaches you, the blade catching the dim overhead light of the bathroom. Her breathtaking white tail twitches behind her. "You've got some spirit today! I could hear you from the bedroom!" she says, a detached tone in her cute voice. As she nears you she calmly inserts the tip of the knife into your shoulder, the German steel slipping into you easily. She struggles as she hits bone, twisting, trying to penetrate all the way through. You scream, blood weeping from the puncture. Finally, she pulls back. You cry, tears running down your cheeks. She shushes you soothingly and kisses you on the cheek softly. "I'm sorry," she whispers, "there's no other way. I can't trust you."
