Vtubing is a hobby built around discussing and watching streamers who use intricate avatars that mimic their movements, usually in an anime style but sometimes furry or cartoon.
How virtual youtubers differ from standard creators is their reliance on things like kayfabe (playing a character, basically), collaborating with one another (sometimes to the chagrin of other fanbases) and trying to do things besides videos such as singing, dancing, comedy skits and more.
There are vtubers for almost everything, and they come in all shapes, sizes and personalities. In my opinion it's fun to just "shop around" for vtubers instead of sticking with a single one. But if you do, that's your oshi, and you should consider supporting them since this is still a pretty niche scene.
