The Difference Between Hardcore Fans and Unicorns

No.80937260 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I think it's time that people understand that every Hololive fan is different, and you can either be responsible or irresponsible. With that being said, I think in the Western context, it's important that we discern self-proclaimed hardcore fans and self-proclaimed unicorns. There's a massive difference between the two, and it's important that context is always key.

Hardcore Fans: Disciplined
-Spend considerable money on their oshi(s)
-Accept the nuances of Hololive and the girls' jobs
-Hold management to a high standard and criticize when not accountable
-See numbers as a growing opportunity and support as much as they can
-Are always there for their oshi when they need them the most
-If it's not working out, leave silently without causing a fuss

Unicorns: Undisciplined
-Do not spend a dime on their oshi
-Throw a fit over every trivial thing outside their overtly rigid code
-Pretend to like management when it suits their selfishness
-Use numbers to pit the girls against each other and bully them
-Do not care about their oshis' feelings despite feigning support
-Containment break and slander when nothing goes their way

If this difference were discerned, perhaps the opinion of Hololive fans would not be so polarized? There are good and bad in all fanbases, not all hardcore fans are bad and not all casual fans are bad either. I think discipline is the key thing to showcase for yourself as a fan though and if I offend you I'm sorry, this is just what I believe.
