>>80978122>Although they might be a bit "slower" than an Golf R.I'm used to the euro capital traffic. You lose nothing on a nominally slower car
>>80977782>huh I've never actually even considered a Passat, I was more inclined to the Tiguan or T-Roc, or was even considering an Octavia, the BMW 100 series also looked niceThe reason I'm suggesting you a Passat is the same reason people suggest "touch grass" or "have sex".
It's a nice sedan, not much more expensive than a golf
>at most it will dock you a couple of years, meaning a Passat 2017 will set you back about the same as a Gold 2022and it has ample trunk space, four doors (five by euro retarded standard) and lots of head room and seating space.
The T-Roc is too small, if you considered it you might as well take the golf. The Tiguan is pretty much the "Passat, but 'SUV'" and it's not a bad choice if that's what rocks your boat.
There is an intermediate option tho, between the Passat and the Golf
>the EOSbut it will set you back as much as the Passat and for no additional benefit other than trading some space for a convertible feel
I maintain the Passat recommendation if you can afford it or if you can get past the fact you'll be getting a 4 to 6 years older car than the equivalent priced golf
