Where do all of you dumbfucks think the "no summons" even fucking started? In this game more than any other, summoning makes bosses trivial as the aggro is lost from the player.
The exact breaking point was summoning for Orny & Smough because that was the only "skill check" of the game. Beating them solo was the first dick waving of the franchise.
