The point is that people ingest way too much of both daily.
Usually the "max intake" is just the amount you should avoid to get even close to if ingesting daily. Your body doesn't get rid of all the consumption from the previous day from one day to the other, much less between meals.
Also, race comes into play with this because some people have a sort of resistance to the effects of said herbs/beans because their ancestors have been consuming plants from same family for millennia in some cases. Can be a slight difference to the difference between whether or not it is a silent poison or not on your body, also if you by pure chance lack a gene or two, even with heritage, you are donezo.
The point.
Don't overdose on any of them both, you won't know if you are weak to any of the two until it is way too late.
If you don't really need it to live (like actual food), do not live with it as much as you do or think you need to.
Treat weird beverages and food just like you treat beer. Just in case.
