yeah but my main gripe is with people listing off a bunch of irrelevant shit to explain why they like someone
like cecilia being able to program and draw like none of that contributes to my enjoyment of her regular streams so its literally worthless to me

As you well know, 95% of /vt/ doesn't watch streams, even of the vtubers they like. So when they have to answer why they like a certain vtuber, they can only list things that can be easily quantified, like "she has big numbers", or "she can play an instrument", or "she can draw". You can't easily quantify things like "she is entertaining" without having people watch streams, which circles back around to the initial issue.
