I don't know how any of you can hate the new gen
They were fucking great in Fauna's Dungeon, they have great chemistry together and are genuinely funny
Compare it to the shitshow that was Mythbreakers

Mythbreakers failed because Mori pushed too much with an in depth system. Fauna dumbed it down enough that people who had no idea how to play tabletop RPGs could get into it.
Mythbreakers tried to sprint and failed so that Fauna knew we should start with walking.
Hopefully they do build up to an actual DnD campaign in EN though.

Fauna's Dungeon wasn't even a ttrpg. It was a barebones "tabletop" roguelite designed to appeal to the ADHD zoomers. I respect Mythbreakers because 1.) it wasn't DnD 2.) Mori gave the medium the respect it deserves.

There's a function of Ruleslite system, RISUS for example is a one pager that uses d6s. GUN is a Ruleslite system as well.
You have never played ttrpgs if your idea of "homebrew" is making an entire system out of your ass - when it's more commonly used as in-table rule changes specific to a group, or literally an entire different setting.
