1. Marketing towards females can push away the male demographic. Look at Disney. They marketed so hard towards females with modern Star Wars and now the House of Mouse, once touted as the biggest behemoth in entertainment that had a war chest that could survive for 100 years, is hemorrhaging funds left and right. Because at the end of the day 1000 rabid women with 30,000 yearly allowance from their daddies do not have as much money as 1,000,000 men making 50k+ a year just to be treated like a human being, and 100k a year just to be seen as datable
2. You're comparing a show that takes hundreds of thousand to make a single episode vs tens of thousands to make a model once and then from there you just need to stream four times a month on average and you and the company make that back.
3. Stars aren't entertaining.
