At the moment it's 50/50. They cannot afford to completely halt the overseas expansion because the yen is in the shitter, but at the same time the Q4 report indicated that they plan to focus on the japanese market. This could change after the shareholders meeting on the 30th.

What some anons don't seem to understand is that most of the organs barely make any money to Anycolor, and they are still streaming to whatever small fanbase they have without having to worry about losing their jobs. As long as you don't make them lose money, Anycolor doesn't mind keeping you around. It's the same with the EN branch.

The branch has lost most of their fans and it has been proven that they are not worth the investment of doing concerts and big events, but there are still enough whales around to buy absurdly expensive merch and make some profit for Anycolor. And having an overseas branch is still quite useful if you want to sell some bullshit to the investors.

I wouldn't be so sure it's a loss, iirc they reported revenue numbers that are still big, but EN is definitely experiencing negative growth. They are probably still profitable but not nearly as much as they used to be, and the day EN merges will be the day they stop being profitable

Which he can give a handwave answer to because the only people he's speaking to are the only people making any kind of profit off of it, and thus likely don't care deeply and will be placated easily. If there is ever a time when NijiEN is most likely to merge, it would be the weeks after the Selen Shock, and since that didn't happen, they are unfortunately here to stay.

The EN branch is essentially "negative advertising" that's causing 10's of millions of dollars of reputational damage to Nijisanji on a global basis. Although they feel quite safe on their home island of Japan, any attempts to expand are going to run into a wall because of how disastrous the EN branch has been.

These threads confuse me because I see nothing has changed with EN other than doing even more activities than usual. I also don't get why KR and ID are compared but I assume it's because anons don't research the thing they post daily about. KR was a company that dissolved into Nijisanji and arrived with people already terminating their contract to get away from Korean management, which merged with JP so it could be handled under JP management. ID was a failure domestically so it merged to get handled under JP management instead of ID. EN arrived already being managed by JP and Noor so what would merging even do? Their managers all speak Japanese. KR and ID's old managers did not.

Anycolor won't let them leave early. By definition, a mutual agreement to graduate before contract expiration requires Anycolor to agree to it.
The only way any of them can leave on "good" or neutral terms is to wait for contract expiration, or hope to get culled when the merger happens.

Oh, and the shareholders meeting is next Tuesday morning at 1000 JST (Monday evening at 9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific), in which the investors will ask Riku about things like the EN branch, and the fact that the company just turned 10 billion yen into spent kindling.

The fact that they "make tons of money" is of no consequence. Investors generally expect growth every quarter, which Anycolor is not providing, and long-term stability and growth potential, which Anycolor is no longer demonstrating. Buybacks don't keep investors happy for long, especially when you sink nearly all your profits for an entire quarter into one with barely any gains to show for it, and two buybacks in the same year is gonna raise a LOT of questions that Anycolor won't be able to answer.

Make that 3. Check picrel for a post I made a few weeks back, but basically they'll probably do another buyback in December or January.
If the Anycolor investors really cared about quarterly growth and long term stability they'd have already bailed from supporting Anycolor and moved onto the internationally successful Cover, but that hasn't happened (yet). I do not have much reason to not believe they're just severely retarded and that they won't be happy enough with just the stock buybacks.

They don't have the "years" they need to fully recover, they probably don't even have a singular year they would need to "kinda" recover.
Their current fiscal quarter ends at the end of this month, with the quarterly report due in mid September. Picrel is the only reason why I think they might last that long, i.e. business contracts with other companies. And even that is not guaranteed, if they think that closing the branch and tanking the cancellation fee would cost less than keeping the branch open long enough to fulfill their contractual obligations.
