Mcdonalds was so pissed off by the bad press that they bought back ownership of the locations there just so a blunder like that wouldn't happen again under their watch. But that doesn't seem to matter to NijiEN's current fanbase of sisters.
Same for the Starbucks debacle. Apparently the company just didn't want to take a side and DMCA'd an unofficial union just because it had their imagery with "FREE PALESTINE". And that was enough to warrant a boycott, not because these are two junk fast food places.
