Irys’s father is a japanese nationalist and a strict father. this explains why there are gaps in her knowledge ot pop culture, her very proper mannerisms. maybe she was homeschooled too. her internet access was restricted when she was growing up. she’s said father taught her japanese ever since she was babyrys, despite living in US and absorbing its culture. he wanted to keep the japanese part of her alive and strong even if she lived among the gaijin.
