I was involved in the production of the Hololive Summer festival in 2023. During the recording, Gawr Gura was surfing with the rest fo holomyth when a small child was dragged under the waves and began to struggle to stay above surface.
As holomyth rushed to help, Gura held out an arm in front of them, stopping them and was reported saying by Takahashi Kiara "The waves have claimed the child, let the child fight for his own life". Cover staff, dumbfounded, proceeded to watch the child struggle until his body disappeared beneath the waves, lifeless.
We later spotted Gura outside the child's house, making drowning gestures and thanking the family for their child's sacrifice to the great ocean.
