Singapore is mostly native or near-native EN speaking and is mostly on the EN internet, so it's not surprising that they know very well what happened in Feb... I suspect a lot of Niji support comes from ESL speakers who don't primarily interact with the EN internet.

This is extra stupid because the ticket price is easily affordable for most singaporeans. Their gdp per capita is higher than the US. Any one flying into Singapore will spend many times the ticket price on hotels, transport, and food. Have you ever transited through Changi or gone there for work? It's not NYC or California, but Singapore is still horrendously expensive vs most places.

Singapore is basically in the EN internet sphere, it's not really Holo territory any more than other parts of the anglosphere. Maybe very slightly more due to a higher concentration of weebs. HK/Democratic China/Other one is mostly CN internet, so it's not surprising that they don't see the stuff that EN sees. Some of them probably only watch EN streamers but don't otherwise interact with the EN internet.
