Chiku Taku is actually lot darker than people realize. The title and lyrics reference the ticking of the clock and how Ame is stuck in time and losing track of it. She makes a point of saying she's a time traveller and how 'the clock won't stop spinning' 'where'd the time go' implying she's stuck doing the same thing over and over. And the lyrics are directed at her 'mythical friends forever.' On top of this, the bridge features an alarm clock noise as if warning Ame and telling her to hurry. Furthermore, the music video is like a difficult retro game in the style of Contra or Megaman, suggesting having to try again over and over. In short, Chiku Taku is actually about how she ahs to try and save her friends in Myth over and over with the constant threat of the ticking clock looming over her, akin to Akemi Homura. The upbeat cheerful tone and instrumental is just a thin veneer to hide the dark truth as Ame tries to hold onto her sanity.
