If you've decided to kill it off, you don't just force them to stay as long as you can while you milk every last drop you can. The contract may allow the corp to coerce them to stay, but it's definitely dishonorable under these circumstances. They have a duty to be clear about what was happening, their dead prospects, and allow them to leave amicably asap.
>A lot. You don't start talking about stealing from the building to some random higher up you just met giving you a tour, especially in Japan where they take things literally. The same reason why you don't start joking about punching someone if you just met themSorry, but this just feels absolutely alien to me. Punching is violence, it's different. I've seen people punch strangers randomly. I've never seen someone steal something after saying so. Especially not something presumably nailed to the wall. One person I can believe, but I can't believe an entire culture is so far off the rails like that. The most I'd expect is an eye roll and a warning that they're not in the mood for jokes.
