Marine and Rushia were never close.
Noel, Flare, Marine and Pekora all follow each other on their roommate accounts. Noel is the only one of them who ever followed Rushia. Marine never did.
Marine and Flare knew each other from before Hololive, Marine and Noel knew each other from before Hololive and Pekora and Noel knew each other from before Hololive.
None of them knew Rushia before Hololive.
The fact that Pekora and Flare never knew each other before Hololive and are not that close but still follow each other on their roommates should tell you everything about how none of them ever became friends with Rushia.
Marine and Pekora really really tried to form a bond with Rushia, Noel really tried but eventually gave up and Flare gave up pretty quickly. Flare quickly realized that Rushia is a terrible person, it took Noel a bit longer and Pekora and Marine only realized it when shit went down.
Rushia herself never tried it was always one sided because she is a bitch who only views relationships and friendships as a way to get things.
So when Rushia fucked them over Marine and Pekora were sad because they still thought they could be friends with her, Noel and Flare didn't give a shit because they had already discovered her snake ways long ago.
Even Watame who cries about everything never gave a shit when Rushia got terminated.
Marine and Rushia were never close. Marine genuinely tried to form a friendship with Rushia because she has a good heart and still believed she could be friends with Rushia right until the end. It is Rushia's fault they never became real friends and maybe it's for the best that they never did become friends because it would have been so much more traumatic for Marine.
If you thought they were close you were incredibly wrong because there was always awkwardness between them, you could tell they weren't really friends.
Fuck Rushia, fuck Mike. She is a terrible person and Marine is right to forget about her.
