Like people who rate YM-era songs very highly do so cause it was the last time they were closely following, mid 2021- early 2022 had a lots of changes of the general world with covid lockdowns being ended, in the vtuber world with several different corpos debuted their own EN vtuber, and Project Hope and Council debuting, that was last time "Mythmaina" so to speak, had a total stranglehold on the world similar to how Pokemaina was at it's peak when RBY and GS came and people still look upon those games fondly if even they've technically been surpassed by their successors
In Mori's context her output basically tripled at that time and people who became casual listeners probably couldn't keep up.
If vague platitudes like "selling out" or "soul" actually mattered more people in the general fanbase would hold Unalive in higher regard, but in reality most casuals don't even most of the songs off the album exist because they barely have any MVs and most hardcore deadbeats agree it's her most underrated project
