If they look at male fashion they could have nice designs. Like roberu, old pizza dad before the zoomer makeover, or fuma. Instead they go for "gotta stream at 4 but a pride March at 5" which is generally repulsive to everyone but fujos.
Like guys in suits, fantasy blacksmith, vaguely military looking uniform etc gets women wet and men like it too, even gay ones. Even vee's troll avatar is better than most male vtuber designs
The other issue is with content. Trying to copy the girls is a mistake. Look at the kind of content people watch guys for. Like sure the most popular streamers do video games and react shit, but there are some things men can do better than women. Like pizza dad's education streams were peak. They might actually do better with edited videos on some niche autistic topic. Like if one of them explained gundam in autistic detail like arch does with Warhammer, and did gunpla streams, they'd do great.
