>>82210894It comes with accepting VTubers for what they are: viewing the real human beings as anime girls. If you just view them as 2D and disregard the 3D flesh pilot operating them, you'll get less annoyed by things like voices. It has to do with how you interact with/perceive the medium, and if you come in expecting to hear a normal girl behave normally or talk normally, that's the wrong expectation to have 90% of the time. They're not doing it to annoy you, they're just playing a character. Pekora has her annoying high pitched voice too - look at her being one of Hololive's pillars and having a life-sized statue. The nips are aware of what to expect, and respect that she's putting on a character. This is only a bigger problem in the west where it is less common to acknowledge that someone is simply playing their part in their jobs. This may be because idol culture in Japan that predates the 2000s already had women putting on a certain personality in an assigned unit, thus it's more normalized and ingrained in their culture. Idol culture in the west, however, is very small and has made no ripples to western culture - so it will be usually met with disdain. Some claim that women complain about the high pitched voices because they're jealous - I believe that some could be jealous, yes, but I think that a larger portion of the people (men and women) are accustomed to western "authenticity" and are put off by live performances in where identity comes to play with the actual person playing the character. The only way to start enjoying "fake voices" as you put it, is to just accept that she is just assigned a role and is doing her job. If you don't enjoy it, there's always other viable entertainment options. The problem does not lie within Biboo, but you, OP. If you can take the first step towards accepting that, you'll likely start appreciating more about VTubing in general if you truly do want to enjoy her content and aren't just shitposting in the catalog. If her content appeals to you but her voice doesn't, you can still try to get past it with acceptance in mind or at least with being neutral.
