I can't blame them. That's how work/school is for everyone. You don't stay in touch because there's stuff you want/need to do and you no longer have this thing holding you together. Aqua's been semi-retired for years, I feel like her jokingly being HoloX's sixth member was like two streams ago. Her real life friends (who aren't Holos) will still be with her, just like how it was for Mel.

This might be true for some of them, but only because they're autists who have trouble communicating outside of streams.
Though I'm pretty sure 6 months from now, someone like Marine is still going to be talking about her albeit infrequently.

I don't understand the people saying "that's how workplaces are". I left my last job over half a year ago and I'm still in contact with people who I'm good friends with inside the company.
That's how it is with people who you only vaguely knew through work, sure, but I think for a lot of holomems (who seem to actually spend time with each other even outside of things that are directly related to their work), they're not just gonna lose contact because Aqua graduated...

Doubtful. Also, don't try and make this a big empathy vs sociopath argument. If you have interacted with real people much you know they all take it in stride. PR and public facing stuff is more performative, which is especially true in Japan, where they will probably ride public transport to and from the office without any sign of sadness. The truth is that you can't be friends with everyone or talk with everyone, and you also have to focus on yourself and doing your own job. It's not a bad thing, it's just life, and expressing sadness is appropriate even if you're not actually crying your eyes out.

This is anecdotal. Its natural to drift away from people when you're not really doing things together or have any real reason to talk, the gaps between talking slowly become bigger. Just because you had 1 or 2 people you still talk to despite moving doesn't really deny that it really is just how things are.

You're missing the point if you think what I said was anecdotal. And you're making my point by restating that it's about how close you actually are to people (e.g. whether or not you only interacted with another person because of work).
I'm not saying every holomem is friends with every other holomem, but there are very clearly relationships among them that extend beyond purely workplace activity and those relationships don't collapse just because you stopped working together.

Ultimately she has not been fired. She could stay if she wanted to, but she doesn't want to so my job and the job of her genmates, fans, and Hololive in general is to move on and deal with a situation we have no control over by whatever means necessary. If that means forgetting about Minato Aqua then that's what I'll do.
