A lot of them are basically justifying having their job because majority of middle management lives and dies on the amount of bullshit they are able to spew to justify their existence.
Nijisanji I feel was the opposite, they didn't have enough support and management yet were pushing the talents willy nilly.
Cover HAS the management, but it feels like they're constantly pushing onto the girls to try and assert their control and talents like Aqua who just want to stream and do idolshit without having this additional stress on top of them are just left in the wayside of that power struggle.
Idk just how long the girls will be able to maintain this struggle. Girls like Fubuki, Suisei, Pekora etc. are all headstrong, but it also feels like they are generally in agreement with the corpo slop direction that Cover are currently heading into. Probably because it gives a lot of choice to the talents - but talent freedom almost always ends up with talent laziness, as we've seen in PLENTY of other corporations and indies.
It also feels like Cover is playing the long game by recruiting mid tier girls who can be controlled more easily.
I'm guessing that this is the main reason they aren't doing JP7 and going for ReGloss 2 instead. And why ReGloss is doing so many numberfaggy things and have so much corpo overlordship over their group activities, even compared to HoloX.
They want more control on their talents. And they're willing to wait out the graduations of the older "core" members in order to achieve it, or eventually outnumber them with enough new talents that the general lethargy of the branch as a whole might make them more pliable.
After all, they're advocating for the talents, and if the talents just want to be lazy mascot characters and print money by doing fuck all, what can they actually do?
Some of those middle management retards might even be happy about Aqua leaving, since it's one less morally headstrong girl they have to worry about. Could explain why they didn't really try to get her to stay. Could also explain why Mel was forced out even though they could easily have turned it into a slap on the wrist (as Nijisanji has done MANY times).
