If you asked this question 2-3 years ago then it would make sense because Niji blew up first before Holo did with their NND humor and shenanigans. Hell thanks to Mito fame that live2D became a normal thing and Holo shift away from the 3D Kizuna Ai tactic

But now it seems like Holo is almost as equally popular as Niji in Japan and the numbers support the fact. Niji has their big event with NijiFes and Koshien while Holo has theirs with HoloFes and Minecraft event

That’s a hyperbole. It does have a higher market cap, but that’s basically just because they’ve been around longer and more time to build up a war chest. Also Japanese investors simply aren’t as savvy as western investors when it comes to aggressively betting on future value. If Cover and Anycolor were American companies, Cover would almost surely worth more due to investors rightly recognizing that it has much greater potential to expand outside of Japan.

A few have, Hoshikawa tried to pander with her cute British eigo and no one cared. Utako tried to pander, Hayama and Rin tend to have auto translates running to try and cater to potential EOPs coming it, it just doesn't stick.

holoshit is in every konbini. nijishit is nonexistant. i once talked to an investor and he knew what hololive was but not nijisanji. you can see holoshit in nearky every station, but never nijishit. nijishsit is still mostly unknown, except for niche fujobitches. hololive doesn't really merit it (there's only 4 good holomem), but they're a household name. it's like comparing RC cola to cocacola. no contest. sorry little buddy, it is what it is.
