>Do you watch chuubas for the gameplay?...like what are you watching them for, then? Karaokes seems like a fair answer. But I like a lot of personalities, especially FWMC, but I'll admit I'm never going to watch every single zatsu and especially supachat stream of theirs. You have any idea how long those go on for? I'm glad I have time to watch the talents I like, but that time isn't all day, I have other shit to do. And I abhor Minecraft and ARK because they're barely disguised zatsus with window dressing. Call me ADHD, "hurr, this anon needs something to happen, he can't care unless Mario is being played," sure, I'll take that label...but I'm not going to watch 2 hours of girls talking about food, if a funny topic comes up, I'll leave it to a highlight channel to catch 3 minutes of a 5 hour zatsu stream, I'll enjoy it then.
But gameplay is interesting, it's a chance for a talent to experience something for the first time. Will it click with them at first? Highly unlikely, hell, they can give "guy who failed the Cuphead tutorial" a run for his money, but they get a chance to see if it's a genre that clicks with them. And if they master it? Great! I doubted Shiori for a bit when she started Cuphead and Hollow Knight, but she even surprised herself with how she managed the first handful of bosses without much issue.
Some girls treat games as a one-off, some turn them into endurance.stream. Korone and Luna will go out and play obscure shit I never heard of and I applaud them for it. And to get this back on topic, Biboo enjoys what she plays and can make endurance streams to keep being better. That journey is interesting to me. Won't always be 100% hit rate, nothing truly is, but I like a gamer chuuba that can not only enjoy what they play, but share that joy with the audience.
