The problem is they don't have much of an EN fanbase outside of Kaela and that's because she's a stream monster and has way more EN presence than any other ID. You can't just shift time slots and expect the branch to thrive and you can't really pivot the focus of a branch which has existed for several years. They're not new so they wouldn't have any hype surrounding them.

The thing is there's very little reason to add a new ID branch because IDs don't support them. They'd have to speak almost exclusively English, cater to NA times and not do ID collabs(because they almost never speak English in collabs) which means they may as well just be another EN gen.

Yes, there are a very large number of bilingual people in Indonesia(largest concentration of bilingual English speakers in the world in certain areas from what I remember.) Those people aren't the problem though. The problem is the Indos who can't understand English and who whine about the ID branch speaking a lot of English. These people are typically poor or uneducated and when you're a vtuber making making money from donations and merch sales you do not want to cater to the audience who has very little support to give. They never should have caved, they should have continued speaking as much English as they want because all they did was push EN away to curry favor with a bunch of poorfags. That's the point the anon you responded to was making.

I'd agree if it wasn't for the fact that most of Myth/Promise rarely stream. Advent has been carrying EN hard the past year but now they're going to be too busy to keep up the schedules they've been managing so far. Three busy but active gens would have been okay but that's not what we would've had. I'm assuming there's going to be another gap before EN5 so long as Advent manages at least a decent fraction of what they did their first year and Justice keeps up a good pace.
