Ame, Ina, Gura and Chicken do live outside of Japan and Callie is only who lives in there. Doubt they have studios prepared for 3D streaming outside and each one of them would either be transported to one spot/country or streamed separately.

They can't enter the fucking country so they can't do 3D. If you were paying attention you'd know that ID gen 1's 3D models have been ready for months but they're still waiting for Japan to let random people in again.
Also before you suggest they build 3D spaces outside of Japan. ID gen 1 is really excited about doing their 3D at the holo studios and meeting all their senpai. I assume the same thing applies to EN and ID gen 2. And they'd only agree to do their 3D at the cover offices.

I don't believe Covercorp office is even large enough for the soundstage/studios for the 3D work, it is likely a leased facility somewhere else from a third party production company, the same ones the small indie vtubers use for their own 3D streams.

In an older 2018 video they show some of the early technology they used for Sora's 3D. In this they did set up some consumer level VR capture equipment in a boardroom at Gree for testing but it doesn't look like the stuff you see in 3D events they produce now.

There are motion capture studios all over western canada and most major US cities, plus Germany has a few. It could easily done but probably way too expensive. Those companies do mostly advertising, animation, games and Hollywood shit. The cost would be way too high to waste on a 2 hour 3D stream.

In a Japanese studio they their manager and a producer plus other girls with them, they can do a closed set and protect privacy. They couldn't do this in a studio in vancouver or LA as the vtuber would be alone and some intern would just whip out his camera and expose them.

Once covid clears it will be cheaper and safer to fly EN girls to Tokyo than to rent a western studio for an afternoon.

No chance. HoloID is planned to get 3D before the end of the year, while NijiJP 3D debuts will continue close to the end of the year. I don't have doubts that if Niji really wanted to fast track Lazulight's 3D they would be able to get it out before HoloEN, but that's not happening.

We know that Cover has their own studio that they use for 3d streams and it's pretty much guarenteed that large events like Beyond the Stage and Bloom were held elsewhere.

This is from 2018 but
https://youtu.be/RoRTbaiZxKw?t=15 was the studio at the time of Balus, the company that runs the SPWN which was used for BTS, NSS, Animare 3d events among a ton of other things. They've since moved to a bigger location and have diversified doing more than just mocap and 3d stuff but there's not a lot of information about their new location.

My rrat is that Cover will never provide them a 3D model because only Ame and Kiara need a 3D model. The other will probably never use it because Mori is a tech illiterate, Gura is lazy and Ina simply doesn't need one.

As it stands Cover needs explicit written permission from the dev/publisher to not get copyright fucked in Japan.
