This was in a thread sometime last month, but I mentioned how Selen used to have this energy of being able to make any game interesting, she caught my interest with Starcraft and I thought "Okay, dragon girl, how can you make an RTS interesting?" And she did, freaking out about Tassadar being undefended, never having troops to deal with zerg rushes. But I think that moment, she felt she was more laughed AT than laughed WITH.
I don't know if many people remember, it was either a cringe tweet or YouTube Community post where she posted some shit that went something like "I play what I want to play. This is who I am." And that began her channel to becoming Apex-centric. She still tried to do some cool stuff like doing Megaman runs up to 5 or 6.
But she showed with that post where her interests truly lied: wanting to be the best at shooter. Which is unfortunate, sure, she can commit to it, she's above average...but that is not the same content I was interested in. Not at that point and certainly not with what Doki delivers now. Shame, she had a decent strength, but decides to kneecap herself because shooters was the genre she wanted to commit to.
I can fault her on a lot of things, particularly being overly bad with money, but that's another on a personal level.
