I think the best years of her career are behind her. She doesn't have the optimism or motivation to have that kind of energy anymore, the girl doesn't have anymore heights to climb. She also feels left out and behind by the induction of the newer talent, like she is no longer the star of the show ironically enough. She'll always be the mascot of the company of course but humans are emotional, especially woman. Her fire is gone and chumbuds being loyal and throwing money at her won't fix that.
