Most successful idols don't just work on music full time. Why do you think Suisei and Mori's streams are mostly gaming (solo or collabs) or variety / zatsu / SC reading instead of singing? What do you think actual (flesh) idols do their variety shows and handshake events for?
That's the thing: idols aren't - and aren't expected to be - as good as professional performers (singers in this case). If they are that good, they'd have become singers instead of idols. This applies to virtual idols like Hololive, too. That's why they need to do more than just singing to build their fanbase up to make up for, frankly, the gap in skill between them and the top singers.
I meant, if ERB likes it, good for her. I just think it's detrimental to her popularity (and thus, her Holo music career). Maybe she will be the first Holo who blaze a new path and prove me wrong, IDK.
