You think it's a given that Hololive was always bigger then Nijisanji but it wasn't always so. The biggest vtubers in the west were Kizuna and a few of the Nijis before Anycolor lost their minds and started going after clippers. Coco's eigo streams were just a funny meme, no one thought vtubing would seriously take off in the west.
