Add on to that the fact that it would've been more appealing to normies, the Dodgers collab was a success there's no denying that BUT I did see a lot of normies make some "pedo" allegations or comments about the characters being creepy. Having some of the Stars would be appealing to a wider audience because normies are more used to and less threatened by "shonen" even if they might now know what it is, for example I don't think most normies would mind or have any problem with a drawing of Naruto, Luffy, Goku OR Axel but there's a big number that would have a problem with a drawing of Frieren, Kanata OR Gura.

Kobo might have a ton of subs and may get decent numbers (for ID) but as soon as money is involved she's going to come short, and thats for every single ID in the world even outside Hololive, even outside vtubers. ID influences can't depend on ID audiences to earn a living, that's why they all to cringy ass sponsorships. So IDK why you would use her as an example.
