The job description does not include some kind of genuine magical falling inlove with you or being your friend. The degree to which they're lying depends on the content creator and their MO, but it's a fact that they do not treat you like they treat their family, friends, and lovers. This doesn't automatically imply that they all hate you, but lying and manipulating an audience is unethical. You would have to be a sociopath to keep it up. Not only are vtubers not genuinely close to you, but watching content creators to get close to them is an ulterior motive and not genuine or ethical either. Don't project and say that anyone that understands this truth is a bad person or has no social intelligence, because it's a lack of social intelligence and conniving attitude that gets you in this situation in the first place.
