He makes what he himself calls "cheap fast food comics" and runs an art studio. He pays people pretty well according to the artists that work for him, and he's had the same bunch for years, which to me suggests it's probably not a shitty work environment.
Are the comics cringe sometimes? Yeah. But they're inoffensive.
Idk if he's gay, but the whole him being married/dating Raora seems to be based on old ship art made by fans, and them hanging out irl, which many indies did all the time back then.
Raora also made fan art of DyaRikku and Takahata being shipped together. And they're pretty clearly not a couple.
The shipping art stopped after Merry and Yunii (Raora PL) stopped playing into it since it got bored. Just like Dya and Taka.
