>>83190521The same thing that made Hololive so huge in Japan and is keeping them relatively niche in the west is the fact that there's very little EN sponsorships they're getting in comparison to JP that the Hololive girls get.
This is why hard working ambitious types like Fuwamoco, Mori, Bae etc. are ALL in Japan or moving there. Biboo is also planning on moving.
They will essentially get as much work as they need in Japan, and JP also has a far more solid audience that loves idol stuff.
EN is "good" right now BECAUSE they aren't mainstream. The dodgers collab was from two of the most hardworking JPs and the most popular EN talent that has gone for far more bts projects, collabs with cafes and other irl stuff and in general, far more off-stream work.
And look what that did to her streaming schedule.
Korone didn't go for the collab even though she would've been a perfect match because she was already swamped with work. Probably same with Okayu as well.
ENs are fine because their on-stream and off-stream work is far more balanced now that they have 4 gens. Mori and Gura are taking up the bulk of bts work in EN, one cut down on streaming work to compensate and the other is a workaholic.
Plenty of JPs are facing this overwork issue. Shion also had this problem, which is why she took a long-ass break (and she was STILL working on bts shit for half of it). Aqua was likely the same as well, and her mind simply didn't change even after her Shion-style hiatus.
Korone as mentioned, is getting overworked because of all her sponsorships, ambassador shit and all her bts collabs and recordings. Both her and Gura have already started sending out feelers to their audience checking whether they will follow them if they leave.
No one here caught on to all the doomposting from holos when Aqua announced her graduation internally.
No one connected Nene's "sad karaoke" stream and sudden hiatus with bts stuff.
And no one's looking at these signs either, and no one will, until one fine day you're slapped with her another
