In the more religious side it's really performative piety, where your relationship with worship must often be more personal and private. There is nothing wrong with being a vtuber as well as a devout Christian or Muslim or what have you. The issue is where you are performing your religion for an audience, for entertainments, and probably financial gain. It's a contradiction to the image they're superficially cultivating.
