>>83306326The very reason Cover has been pushing Hololive as a brand these last couple of years is because they don't want their company to be at the mercy of any single member retiring. Vtuber might have a longer shelf life than flesh idols, but realistically none of the pre-2020 shubas will be left standing in 5 years. By then, Hololive must have become a mainstream name with its own identity or it'll have no chance to keep expanding.
Though given shit like Hololy, I would be surprised if Cover doens't have an AI waifu project cooking in the wings to put their IP to use for decades to come.
