Why Cover keep putting horrible voice filter for some EN girls? Fauna and Shiori were the most tampered with and i hate it. Will it be the same for the Breaking Dimensions concert? I sure hope not

What I thought was more jarring in that song was how untampered Gura's line sounded, as if they did no processing at all and just dragged her voice mp3 into fl studio and called it done

As a KFP, Teamate and Sanallite I learned to enjoy heavily altered vocals to a point. If it's done right it might even sound good. I forget which song but Kiara has a cover in which she sounds like a vocaloid almost but it's kinda good actually.

Ame and Noel have been in Hololive forever, and they’ve only managed to become slightly less bad at singing in all that time. It absolutely is a hard capped talent. Ironically, singing lessons are more useful for people who are already good at singing rather than people who are bad.

Fauna is completely and utterly tonedeaf. If you play a single A440 for someone who isn't tonedeaf and hold it for eternity and ask them to match it, they will generally be able to get it within 5 seconds. Someone musically trained should get it in 0-1.

Fauna probably would warble and waver for 10 seconds and still not hit it within a few cents. I have a friend like this and it's both funny and sad to see.

Bitch, idols and actual singers are autotuned all the time with no issues. It's a tool used to clean up minor imperfections. It only becomes a problem when your "talent" is so utterly hopeless at singing (e.g. Fauna, Ame, Noel, etc.) that any attempt at reigning them in results in a horribly obvious autotune. The only way to avoid this would be to avoid hiring them in the first place or not letting them sing.

How is this a surprise? Does anyone delude themselves to think you are actually there in some capacity to enjoy the music talent on display and it's not 100% a variant of being there just for the experience of having your oshi performing on a big stage with regards to a Hololive concert and the production on display?
