Anime is still not that respected in US aside from generic big hits like Naruto or DBZ. Their influence is still limited and worse is that there are normies who still publicly hate anime, either because of Japan-phobia or weird kinks. And VTubing has even smaller influence than anime
The fact that they venture to US to host their shit like what they did in Japan is already a move that Cover wants to show potential. Not just debuting EN-origin members and shipping merch to US, but also renting actual venues and collabing with actual US brands for locals to enjoy Holos directly
