>>83756101Because their business is 100% focused on making as much money as possible.
Hololive, being also a startup and a business, does have a similar end-goal, but they take their time to actually prepare things.
The main difference is that NIJISANJI effectively throws things, vtubers and sometimes events at the wall until one or two stick.
Meanwhile every single debutee in Hololive is a carefully thought decision after a lengthy scanning and recruitment process (now, before it was more lenient somewhat). And the events are also really damn well planned most of the time.
It boils down to quantity (Nijisanji) over quality (Hololive), as you can see, the Niji-meta of quantity which once reigned supreme is now becoming the loser's formula. There's many reasons, but one is that they cover (lol) so much space that they can't control nor hold it all at the same time. Meaning that whenever they retreat, the space, the niche, the vtuber theme is occupied by other existing chuuba almost instantly that isn't from Nijisanji.
Anycolor is not adapting.
And they seem to have an incredibly fucked up internal culture considering everything that ex-employees have said or hinted at.
The silver lining for any Holo Antis is that, one day Hololive might get so corporate that they will also be left behind in a similar fashion to Nijisanji.
Nijisanji will likely survive, but for how long will they hold the 2nd spot?, and if they lose it, for how long the 3rd?, it's almost a losing game.
I would quit it.
