That only results in free clip material where people watch that instead of the streamer when they do anything else, it doesn't necessarily translate into actual fans.
And the anon you responded to is right. Yes, going to another corp could work, but that's still a lot of money they're walking away from and there's no guarantee their new situation would be that much better outside of emotionally. It could still be a lot of work to get back to where they were, especially since vtubing is a very competitive environment.
