I was thinking today at work about how weird vtubers are. The first streamers I started watching back in 2011-2014, I think all of them still stream to this day. Even the ones with kids still stream over 1000 hours a year. It doesn't sound like something that it'd make sense to ever really walk away from, so why do vtubers? I was thinking about all the comments from vtubers about feeling "burned out" or "having achieved so much" and it's like, "Wait, aren't you just a nerdy girl who streams herself playing games and singing karaoke? The fuck are you making everything such a big deal about?" I ask myself, "If Aqua never joined Hololive, or if she never became so successful, would she still be here now?" Six years is a super long time when you're young, but as you get older you realize it's actually nothing. Hololive isn't as old as Cuphead. If you don't count Sekiro, only one Souls game released during Hololive's existence and Aqua didn't play it until right before she graduated. They make it sound like they're only doing this for fame or money, but I know they're not because they were doing it back in their NND days. Why do they have to "achieve" anything? Can't you just be yourself and stream? Do they just lose interest in it? I guess we'll find out if she reincarnates.

I watched her family drama sketch live. I don't like apelegs, and I can take or leave concerts, but I watched her whenever I could and I consider her performing Aquairo Palette to be the quintessential Hololive experience, seeing this meek shut-in gamer girl get up on stage and sing and dance her heart out. I remember during the second fes when the guy streaming it made the censor borders dance along with her. I watched pic related live, too, when she tried to hide her onion with helmets.
That being said, I don't need your permission to feel sad that a vtuber just graduated.
