No company could've created a website like NND, it had to be the work of individuals together.
COVER, however is a corporation, not an individual, which gives them a much easier 'target' to go after legally. COVER originally did not do this, instead allowing their talent to stream like normal streamers. Then a bunch of game companies (Capcom being a big one) came together and basically went after COVER's talent streaming games. COVER, being a corporation who is 'profiting' off of the streaming of their games without permission meant they were in fact liable.
