Cover found out in January, and told her to not talk with him. Then when the drama happened that eventually got her fired, they found out that she did still associate with him, against their wishes. Which got her fired.
That being said my impression of him is that he is, like many drama-tubers, a narcissist first and foremost, that doesn't mean he does bad things intentionally, because for a narcissist admiration by the public is important
In Rushia's defense for ignoring the January warning: Cover themselves say the do not meddle with a talent's private lives. This stands a bit in contrast to her being reprimanded for having content with him and being forbidden further contact. That being said because the public and private life of a talent are somewhat mixed it's a difficult matter.
What people like to leave out in the narrative. The initial statement by Cover, did contain a line, that Rushia is under internal investigation. This means that already during the initial statement Cover might have been looking into, whether they should fire her not not.
