The music industry (and the entertainment industry) is rotten to the core and that's everywhere and it is an absolute miracle that a handful of barely competent dudebros managed to found what's becoming one of the largest players in a tiny corner of that market and, by accident, do it in a mostly "yab free" environment.
There is a timeline where Cover looked the other way with the whole Hitomi Chris thing and Hololive evolved without the foundational morals that set the tone, and ended up as bad as Nijisanji and the rest of the companies in the entertainment industry
