>>84254902I can understand why people aren't terribly eager to give Anycolor the benefit of doubt, mainly because of the major hit their reputation took this year. But you also need to remember that many people do not speak Japanese and rely on machine translation tools or other people to report on it, especially before the stream came out, so the end result is an environment perfectly ripe for misinformation. That's not to say Anycolor are saints and I still resent them for how bad they handled their global branches, but this doesnt seem like something that can be specifically blamed on them as much as it is Japan's entertainment industry, because was never an employee and just a contractor.
Its the same shit in Hollywood, there's one creepy dude in a high position of power with tons of connections, and people either go along with it because they do not want their careers to be put in jeopardy, or large swaths of people aren't even aware of what goes down because of how they maintain their image.
