>>84399222>You forgot another factor at play: investors. And investors do not like projects that serve 0 purpose. The EN branch must have event revenue (that juicy yellow box in the revenue graph) or else they will pressure Riku into either fix that shit or disband itSpeaking of which, the Q1 report is due next week. It will cover May 1 through July 31, and revenue gained from such events as Reimu and Luxiem's 3D debuts, Denauth's debuts, the "NBA" merch collab with Rakuten that's only available in Japan, Ethyria's 3D concert (which was gonna be shown to Offkai ticket holders who paid money, but was instead streamed for free due to Niji getting kicked from the expo), and Niji EN's Summer Jam (which was gonna be shown to Anime Expo ticket holders who paid money, but was instead streamed for free due to Niji pulling out of the expo due to piss-poor ticket sales)
The report will also cover the June stock buyback and July treasury stock cancellation. It technically does not need to cover the market crash that happened in early August, since it happened (just barely) outside of the time period in discussion and especially since AC stock has since recovered; but investors might still ask questions about that, especially if they remember the Q3 report from March and how that report technically did not include Selen's termination.
....oh, and that market crash might end up being the "official" reason for the eventual EN branch closure, so that they can legally claim to the investors that the branch failure had absolutely nothing to do with gross mismanagement/malfeasance, or fan outrage at the company due to their horrifically terrible handling of the Selen situation.
