It's the same with pretty much everything. Like EN anime fandom is trash, they all just watch the same slop, where as in Japan you can have more nuanced tastes. In Japan you go to a lot of events that are all specialized with no funny business. In the west you go to an anime convention, which has panels, and artist alley, and marked up goods resellers, and copyplay shows, and fake maid cafes, and fake idol concerts, and so-called 'yaoi paddles' which is a purely American invention.
You always get low quality trash when you're talking about the secondary EN fandom. This is not something new or unique to vtubers.

1) Age. I mean, that's part of the reason why some girls outright said that their jobs are fairly easy even with all practising, collabs etc. EN girls are fucking zoomers with zero life experience.
2) Culture. It's kinda more accepting to be, for the lack of better word, an entertainer in Japan. I mean, check their shows and compare them to ours. Of course, you still catch side eyes because of your dishonorable jobs, but still, people are willing to be silly for the sake of entertainment. I honestly can't exactly remember when we here became so prudish and counter-cultural towards everything.

It's not about JP vs EN, it's about culture, life experience and hags.
