Magni was kind of a loose cannon and a total idiot but I don't think anyone should fault him for fucking off. Stars was never going to be as big as he needed it to be, he shouldn't had even joined.
Vesper, on the other hand, could had been much more than random high 2view/low 3view if he had been capable of being an adult for a couple of hours a day. He couldn't manage even that.
